A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has surpassed over one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the Truth About Drugs campaign, which aims to provide clear information about commonly abused substances and their risks to young people and communities.
Approximately hundreds of volunteers across the country are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in public spaces, shops and community areas. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing news eurovision resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a clear way.
The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
